2017, an outstanding year for AFP video
With 50% more live video streams transmitted than in 2016 and the expansion of the global network of Video Reporters, AFP video revenues continued to deliver double-digit growth in 2017.
Subscribers were last year given access to thousands of live AFPTV videos of major global news, sporting and cultural events, along with a selection of feeds from events at major world institutions.
AFP enabled clients to follow in video major breaking news such as the protests in Venezuela and Robert Mugabe’s removal in Zimbabwe, and also offered other unique items such as a live interview with French astronaut Thomas Pesquet from the International Space Station. More recently there were feeds of the elections in Russia and of George Weah as president in Liberia.
For 2018 AFP is maintaining its investments in this service in order to continue to offer customers unique content along with innovations that enhance user experience.
