Partnership between AFP and the Arab World Institute (IMA) in Paris on the Debates on Current Affairs in the Arab World
In partnership with the Collège de France, France Culture, and AFP, the Arab World Institute (Institut du Monde Arabe) is launching a new event at which current affairs will be discussed: Debates on Current Affairs in the Arab World.

Focused on current news, the Debates on Current Affairs in the Arab World will provide the opportunity to analyze, discuss, and reflect on the latest events in the Arab world. Selected several days ahead, the topic or issue will be drawn from recent events in the region, to provide an accurate and insightful overview of current affairs.
To take part in the discussion and the analysis, three participants will be chosen from a panel of twelve figures, supported by other external speakers, all of them prominent academic, media or civil society figures familiar with the given topic.
Each month, the debate will be moderated by an expert on current affairs and their coverage: Anthony Bellanger from France Inter, Alain Frachon from Le Monde, or an AFP journalist.
At the beginning of each discussion, AFP will feature images related to the chosen topic, as a way to introduce the audience to the subject, and immerse them in its reality.
Each Debate on Current Affairs in the Arab World will made available to listen to online for free on the Collège de France, France Culture, AFP, and the Arab World Institute websites.
